How it works

Create instantly. Own it privately. Understand honestly.

QuickUnfold is built on one idea: you shouldn't need an account to shorten a link and understand what happens after you share it.

01

Create a link in one step

Paste any URL and hit shorten. You get a short link immediately. Optionally add a custom name, campaign UTM tags, an expiration date, a password, a redirect preview, or a QR code - but none of that is required.

02

You own it with a secret management link

Instead of a password, every link comes with a private management URL like /manage/… containing a cryptographically random token. We store only a hash of that token - never the token itself - so even we can't reconstruct it. Anyone with the management link can manage the link, so keep it safe. It's the only way in without an account.

03

See the journey, not just numbers

Open your management link to see clicks over time, devices, browsers, geography, referrers and campaigns - plus a plain-language “Link Journey” and auto-generated insights that tell you what's actually working.

04

Human vs. bot, done honestly

A lot of link traffic isn't human - social apps and search engines fetch a preview whenever a link is shared. We classify each request (human, search crawler, social preview, security scanner, or other automation) from its user agent and keep them separate. We never delete bot traffic, and we never claim more certainty than we have.

05

Privacy-preserving measurement

We don't use cross-site cookies or browser fingerprinting. Unique visitors are an estimate from a salted hash that rotates daily and is scoped to a single link - it can't identify a person or follow them around the web. Geography is approximate, country-level, and derived from the CDN edge, not from tracking you. When we can't determine something (like a referrer), we say so instead of guessing.

06

Campaigns & QR codes that compare

Create channel-specific links to the same destination (LinkedIn, email, WhatsApp…) and compare them side by side. Generate multiple QR codes per link - each with its own tracking - so you can tell whether the poster or the business card drove more scans.

Coming later: claim your links

Links you create today are owned by their management token. The data model is already built so that, when accounts arrive, you'll be able to create one and “claim” your existing anonymous links - associating them with your account while your management links keep working. Nothing you make now becomes orphaned later.

No signup, no email harvesting, no dark patterns.
